im goinginto junior year and i really want to go to tufts but i think i screwed up my chances!
these are my final grades for each class:
English honors: 93
Honors Global: 85
Honors GEometry: 83
honors Chem: 78
Spanish :90 but im in spanishhonor society
Marketing : 94
Gormet foods: 94
Food and nutrition: 97
and health:96
those are all the classes i took this year
do i have to do exceptionally well next year to even have a chance of going?
and also what should i aim for on the SAT’s to get into tufts?

My gut feeling is you are below the standard a highly selective college like Tufts that admits only 25% of applicants wants. Generally at such schools you need an unweighted GPA of 3.8 in rigorous and challenging subjects and SAT’s well over 2000 – preferably well over 2200. Tufts is not as bad a Ivies like Harvard – but its close.

Looks like you screwed up your core academic courses and did well in the bogus courses. You’re not likely to recover for Tufts or any other selective college. However, if you sign up for your school’s IB (International Baccalaureate) program, many schools will forgive the prior botchup.
