What types of restaurants are good for vegan friends?

Hellothere asked:

My friend is a vegan, and happens to be lactose and gluten intolerant. I feel awkward whenever there’s only one thing on the menu she can order. So, what types of restaurants are good for vegan friends?

most places have some things(like sides)..but you might want to look up a vegan or vegetarian resturant in your area :)

Many ethnic restaurants will have menu options that are naturally vegan. Even better if you can find a local ethnic restaurant that has a website listing of their menu items. You or your friend can call in advance and ask the staff to recommend gluten-free vegan options. You may even go so far as to request to speak with a manager for reassurance. Ask if there’s pork fat in flour tortillas and beans. Be sure there isn’t any ghee nor yogurt (clarified butter) in certain Indian vegetarian dishes. Make sure there isn’t any fish sauce in the Thai dish (many do, but they can make it without). Substitutes for wheat products are: corn tortillas, rice, rice noodles, cellophane noodles. If something is fried or sauted always ask if the food item is breaded with flour. Most restaurants are aware of celiac disease and wheat gluten allergies, so express your friend’s concerns openly and clearly. Here are some chain resturants places I personally like to frequent. I follow a vegan diet.

    Chipotle
    QDOBA Mexican Grill
    P.F. Chang’s China Bistro

I would suggest asking your friend where he/she wants to eat…they could give you more input based on their likes/dislikes/dietary needs. However like people said, some good restaraunts are places like….

Qdoba, Chipotle, Qdoba, Olive Garden, Subway, Salad Works, Indian Food, ahh my mind is drawing a blank. I would suggest checking out this website that i LOVE-
