What restaurants do you choose for friendly service?

greenisgoodbitch asked:

(chain restaurants)

Now I know that all restaurants vary, but in general what restaurants have always had friendly, prompt service in your experiences? Alternately, are there any restaurants you avoid because of this?

You could also mention fast food restaurants if you like.

pretty much every restaurant i have been to in my area has crappy customer service. The restaurants in Colorado that i went to were nice though. I went to the Cracker Barrell and had some great catfish. Also, TGIFridays was ok, i don’t know what it is about the waiters/waitresses there but they HAVE to be brainwashed or hypnotized to be that damn happy xD

Red Lobster is always good. Applebees has been bad once or twice. And Famous Daves(Im not sure if thats all over the U.S. or not) irritates me, because their servers have to say Hi, my name is Famous (insert their name here) and i think its completly stupid, but their food is yummy, and the service is usually good also, so i get over it, but it kind of reminds me of Office Space, if you know what i mean.

I’ve always had pretty good service at Red Lobster and Olive Garden from what I recall.

The O’Charleys and Ruby Tuesday around here have just plain weird servers. I love Ruby Tuesday but it’s gotten to the point where I don’t even want to go there for lunch with my daughter because the atmosphere and waitstaff are so stuffy and devoid of personality and charm.

The Olive Garden, Applebees, Red Lobster, Shari’s, all have excellent wait staff and service is prompt and friendly…. I can’t think of one time when it hasn’t been (and we travel quite abit). We haven’t been to TGIFridays, Chili’s, Chevy’s, enough to give an educated response….. The same with Ruby Tuesday’s. All have good food. The times we have been to those places, I don’t recall anything bad to report. PF Chang’s has poor service, wait staff isn’t all that friendly so we’ve only been there once.

It doesn’t pay to mention fast food because you can get cruddy service in one place and great service in the next town.

I think the worst places have been privately owned which surprised us because you would think you would want to please your customers.
