What foods do you suggest eating after getting your wisdom teeth out?

nikki asked:

I’m getting all four of my wisdom teeth out tomorrow, and I’m assuming that I won’t be able to eat normally for the next few days. What foods do you suggest that I’d be able to consume that wouldn’t be as boring as the chicken broth that my mom bought?

Puddings – Rice pudding, tapioca, banana, chocolate etc
    Yogurt – all flavours
    Ice cream – all flavours
Even baby food in jars is good, such as the dessert ones, they even have a banana graham crust pie in a jar. Try getting the toddler baby foods, they are a bit thicker and with more substance

    Liquids and soft foods.
    Fruit juices
    Milk
    Coffee
    Tea
Cream of tomato soup, good because there are no solids in it
    Cheese soup
    Applesauce
Mashed potatoes, with or without gravy
    Mashed carrots
    Cottage cheese
    Yogurt
    Pudding
Ice Cream, make sure it doesn’t have nuts or anything else hard in it
    Jello
    Hope this helps.

Well, you can spice up that chicken broth by adding some broken pieces of spaghetti and boiling them down till they’re super soft and voila, you get chicken noodle soup!! Hehehe.. Get canned soups, mushroom soup, clam chowder, tomato, etc. They’re a lifesaver at this point..

When I had four teeth removed for my braces, I relied on a lot of congee or rice porridge, it was delicious.. There are so many ways, just check out the recipes below..

I also ate a lot of apple sauce.. :)

Anything you can swallow without chewing, and your dentist will probably have a list of dos and don’ts for you. Milkshakes, yogurt shakes, juices, anything liquid but you may be advised to avoid stuff with seeds in it so they don’t get stuck in where your teeth used to be.
