Is the way I’m working out going to.work out (get to about 200lb before start eating high carbs and lifting)

Mark P asked:

I work about 100 hours a week (group home…watch tv and stuff) but I don’t exercise on certain days because of my hours. What typically happens is i walk 4.6 miles a day monday-thursday and also every other friday. So basically, there are 5 days every two weeks that I don’t. On those 5 days I don’t do anything at all so I walk 36 miles every two weeks with a two day and a three day break. It seems like that would be bad to me and I’d find a way to change it if I find out that I REALLY should. On walking days, I don’t eat until after my two hour walk, usually just 4 pieces of peanut butter toast, then I just eat something small for dinner. (I use to eat 2-3 portions of food whenever I ate) I’ve been doing all this for 3 weeks and have went from 225 to 217. On days that I don’t walk, I find that I’m drinking about 32-64 OZ of powerade and eating 2 REALLY small things (like 6 crackers or 2 fishsticks) then usually something substantial, like 2-3 sandwhiches for dinner (avg). all this ok?

Well, congrats on the weight loss so far. I’m no nutritionist or anything. What you are doing doesn’t sound too bad but I would recommend coming up with a diet plan and workout routine as well. Everybody wants to lose weight if they feel they are overweight. But starving yourself and drinking Powerade isn’t the healthiest thing to do. You want to lose weight and still be healthy as well. Not lose weight by harming your body. I would recommend looking over this website for tips, secrets and information on dieting and getting into shape. There is even a free Ebook you can download on the website that gives you nutrition secrets and information! No signing up or anything. I downloaded it myself. Hope this helps. And good luck!!!! Keep up the good work!
