Is it better to work out after eating or on an empty stomach?

jim asked:

I was told that it’s better to eat prior to working out because then your body has energy to burn and you don’t tire out as quickly.

But, doesn’t that defeat the whole purpose of working out? I would think I would want to work out on an empty stomach so that there is less energy to burn, forcing my body to begin burning fat which is my ultimate goal.

So, what do you all think?

Thanks to everyone who can help me out here.

I would really like to share how me and my husband both lost our weight in a very healthy and safe way…

My husband lost weight and is not only keeping it off but losing more… by supplying his body with the nutrients his body needed and not dieting… diets don’t work… but this DOES!

    my email address is

If that doesn’t work, email me at

It’s very very safe and not hoodia, not ephedra, nothing like that.. please contact me for more info…

Fitness Questions?? I have a friend that told me about this and he will loves to tell people about this because it’s s awesome! so you can speak with him anytime. I didn’t believe it either until my husband and I tried it to prove him wrong, but instead we were proved wrong… oh well, lost weight and had to say – opps we were wrong.. who cares?
