How do I get my body out of starvation mode and resume normal eating?

I am a 17 year old guy and for the past few months I have been on a strict diet of 1000 calories or less and I think my body has probably entered starvation mode. Now how do I get my body out of starvation mode and resume normal eating without gaining back the fat?

    Well first i assume your exercising, so keep doing that. A good way to not gain back the wieght is to start eating a few more calories every week until you get back to normal. I would suggest gaining back 100 calories every week until you get to where you want to be.

    Very slowly, and carefully. You should see a doctor or nutritionist for a well-balanced plan on bringing your metabolism back to normal. Please don’t ever restrict your diet that much again. Thanks for asking for advice though!

    you shouldnt go for unhealthy diet, coz it wont bring you any benefits and it will just bring the worse…

    so, you have to go for healthy diet regimen plus doing regular exercises daily or day after day..or you can simply go for 15 minutes of walking…

    Eat every 2 hours. Eat protein and veggies at every meal if possible (omelet w/ spinach for breakfast, sandwich and salad for lunch, crackers and turkey and cheese, etc).

    WELL, i think you should be very careful with what you eat. I would suggest you to eat:
    1. whole wheat, grain carbs such as whole grain or wheat bread, pasta, brown rice…
    2. eat plenty of vegetables and fruit but be careful with sugary fruit
    3. eat lean meat, chicken, turkey…( which means no trans fat + saturated fat even you need to choose you salad dressing very carefully)
    4. hydrate yourself only with water nothing else MEANS no juice, diet soda
    5. be careful with dairy products (you can eat them but be careful SLIM MILK would be your choice)
    6. most importantly, exercise

    How about a yummy vegetarian chili rcpiee? This site has some great vegetarian chili rcpiees and hearty vegetarian soups.The nice thing about chili and soup is you can make it the way you both like with whatever vegetables and beans you want.I also use the trick of pureeing certain vegetables in my chili.Another trick is to serve the chili over quoina for additional vitamins, minerals and protein.It is easy for her to get everything she needs from a vegetarian diet. Chili is so perfect because it easy to add all the needed foods to it.Enjoy!
