Why would you feed a wild animal? I never understood this….

You might try putting a large amount of food out for the cat, earlier in the evening so it fills up. After the cat has wandered off with a full tummy, place the food out for the hedgehog.

You have a hedgehog that comes up? how cute!
Where I used to live I had raccoons and opossums that came up on my deck at night. They got so use to my feeding them, they started eating from my hands! I moved and I miss them so much.

A hedgehog? I love it! How cute is that?!

Is it you’re cat, if so place the cat elsewhere, if not and you want to play dirty to the neighbors, call the pound. Another option, Give the cat to food in another area-all it wants, and pick something it likes-like tuna or canned cat food. Hedgehog pictures sound cool, but check for local laws about feeding wildlife. I’m sure you can find a game warden in your area you can ask. Watch out for rabies!

instead of cat food, put out a bowl of mealworms and guinea pig fodder. Nuts, dried fruits. The hedgehog would fare better on them anyway. Cat food is mainly for pet hedgehogs, and even then, needs to be supplimented.

Close the cat indoors until the hefgehos has eaten.
