Good cooking recipies?
M_2 asked:
What are some fairly simple yet tasty recipies?
The only things I really know how to cook are pasta, baked potatos, BBQ chicken, and sandwhiches
Also me, my sister, and brother (just about everyone I’d be cooking for) don’t eat red meat. But we have found ground tukey, turkey burgers, italian chicken sasauge, etc. So even if you had a recipie that involved ground beef or somthing I could probably find a more chickeny subsitute
Thanks so much!!

Olive Garden Alfredo Fettuccine
1 pint heavy cream
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1/2 – 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder, add in more to suit your taste if you prefer
Salt and pepper, to taste
8 ounces fettuccine, cooked and drained
In a saucepan combine butter, heavy cream, and cream cheese. Simmer this until all is melted, and mixed well. Add the Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Simmer this for 15 – 20 minutes over low heat.
Toss pasta lightly with sauce, coating well. Leftovers freeze well.

Here is one of my easiest favorites.
Mix 1 lb turkey with
5 tablespoons pesto
Make 8 very thin patties.
Put a chunk of mozzarella cheese between each pair of patties and fry until done.
They don’t even need any condiments, but sometimes a little mayo is nice.

There are now wonderful foods in the supermarkets that are good, easy, and some are quick. Don’t be shy in asking a clerk to help you.

4. In a rush? Check out the PRE-COOKED beef tips, roast, pot roast, pork roast, chicken, ham, meatload. You will find these packages near the meat section, they are not frozen. Ask a clerk for help in finding them.
Use this for your meat dish with a side dish or two of vegetables, rice, or potatoes which can all be found in the freezer section or on shelves.

5. Desserts of all types can be found in the bakeries, in the freezer sections, or on the shelves. And don’t forget there is always ice cream to depend on.

6. Another thing you can do is cook in a slow cooker or a crock-pot. You put the meat into the crock-pot in the morning and it slowly cooks all day long. The meal is ready at dinner time. Crock-pots can be bought at your grocery store, and at department stores. BE SURE to read the booklet that comes with the crock-pot.

Samantha
here’s one-
Fried rice:
brown rice
assorted veggies, chopped
eggs, beaten
meat (optional)
soy sauce
sesame oil
salt
pepper
whatever seasoning you think necessary
1. cook brown rice accordingly. set aside to cool.
2. heat veggies in a pan over medium-high heat until slightly browned (not completely cooked). add soy sauce, oil, and salt and pepper.
3. add rice [and meat] to veggies. cook approx. 5 minutes
4. reduce heat to medium and add beaten egg and mix to break up so you dont get one big clump of egg.
5. serve whenever necessary.
*can also be used with pasta instead of rice; cook as if it were the rice*
hope it helps!
