you can type them all into Microsoft Word and put them into files labeled: Main Dish, Sides, Desserts, Appetizers, ect.

You can easily make a template to type them in to, or use a premade template from Word.

I have typed all of my favorite recipes in Word and store them in a folder. I have also printed them all and keep them in a three-ring binder in the kitchen so I can refer to them while cooking. I put up a steel sheet on one of my kitchen cabinets, and use magnets to hold the recipe while I am cooking. That way I don’t have to touch the page with messy hands, and I can see the recipe clearly while it is protected from spills on the counter.
By storing them in a folder on your hard drive, you can easily reprint and page that does get damaged or smeared while you are cooking.
If you don’t have Word (or some other word processing program) use the Notepad program that is usually included with Windows.

I set up a file in My Documents titled Recipes. Then I put sub folders for each of the main categories, such as Appetizers Dips, Breads, Beef, Beans, Chicken, Casseroles, etc. Use whatever main categories you want. Then, in these folders, I may have other folders, such as in Seafood, I have a folder for each of fish, crawfish, shrimp, and oysters. For existing recipes, you can scan them in using a pdf file. For new recipes you can type them in Word. I get alot of my recipes from the internet and usually just copy and paste them into a Word document. I actually bought a program called Recipe Manager and I did not like it at all. I found it very difficult to use. I like my system much better. Also, be sure to back them up in some way, such as with a flash drive or an external hard drive.
