Are there any cooking/food magazine that read more like a ‘cooking guide’ as opposed to pages of recipies?

I’d really like something that is somewhat of a ‘cooking manual’ with information pertaining to terminology, technique and overall informative. If recipes are included in the mix too, that’s even better! Are there any food magazines like this out there?

well, i really like the one that’s put out by the ontario (canada) LCBO, it comes out every 3 months, large magazine and best of all – it’s free, look it up on the net – maybe they send you some to whereeveryouare… or have a friend from canada pick them up for you
